Another month, another wave of uncertainty. Thankfully, some amusing things managed to happen even while we were all figuring out how to telework and take care of our kids and not drive our loved ones insane. Hope you enjoy!
Virtual Animal Rentals!
A farm in North Carolina is allowing people to rent its animals for Zoom meetings during the coronavirus crisis. My personal favorite is Mambo, an adorable 8-year old mini donkey, who can’t help but spice up your next earnings call. Creativity abounds!
Toilet Paper Cake Saves The Day!
A bakery in Finland was facing financial ruin thanks to the coronavirus when all of its orders were cancelled – until they had the idea of creating a cake that looks like a roll of toilet paper. The first five sold out in an hour, it became a thing on social media, and now they have hundreds of orders and have actually hired two people to keep up with demand. Way to go, Finnish bakers!
The Things We Have To Remind People Of.
The Maryland police have apparently felt compelled to remind citizens that they need to wear pants when they go to check the mail. This in conjunction with a Florida judge who had to remind lawyers that they also need to wear clothes during their virtual hearings, since apparently at least one lawyer appeared shirtless while another stayed in bed under the covers. If this is the ‘new normal,’ I will very happily go back to the old normal just as fast as I can.
